Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the present study is to identify and rank the criteria for strategic human resource management in the university using multi-criteria decision-making techniques.
Design/ Methodology/ Approach: The present study has a quantitative approach in terms of descriptive purpose, quantitative approach in terms of the nature of variables and survey studies in terms of data collection method. Prioritization of criteria and extraction of indicators of importance of indicators, using the answers of 15 experts in the field of higher education, was done to the Questionnaire of Couples and Tapsis Comparisons.
Findings: The results of the analysis of the decision-making matrix of the Topsis model in the ranking of criteria showed that the highest effective index of strategic human resource management in the university is the sub-criterion of designing systems for reporting skills acquired by professors and staff with 0.9332 weight in the first place. The weight of 0.9314 is in the second rank and below the criterion of fair behaviors and the selection of the best human resources action with the weight score of 0.928 is in the third rank.
Limitations and Consequences: The present study is limited to higher education and uses a quantitative approach to data collection. Therefore, it is suggested that in similar studies, other areas of the educational system be addressed, and at the same time, a qualitative and specifically interpretive approach be used to enrich the data.
Practical implications: Using active, motivated and skilled staff and faculty members in university-industry liaison offices and other academic companies.
Practical implications: From the operational point of view, the present study provides a dynamic and systematic framework, specifically for the actions and activities in the field of human resources of the university.
