Detection of Organizational Deviant Behaviors of Employees and their Reduction Mechanisms in Supervisory organizations: Appling of the Q Sort Method

Abstract

If behavior in an organization violates organizational norms, then that behavior is considered "malicious or deviant behavior." Deviating from organizational norms is not an unfamiliar phenomenon for managers and organizations and the costs of such behaviors continue to burden organizations. Therefore, this article was performed by Q Sorting method in order to identify organizational deviant behaviors of employees and predict their reduction mechanisms, especially in supervisory organzaion. The method of this research was applied in terms of its purpose and in terms of data collection method it was descriptive and For data collection, library study and interviewing have been used.. The results of the research showed that although both individual and organizational factors affect organizational deviant behaviors, individual factors are more effective than organizational factors. In this regard, it is imperative that managers and HR professionals design and implement strategies for attracting people more carefully and according to the proposed mechanism of this research, reduce the individual and organizational factors that affect the organizational deviant behavior of employees.
