Exploratory Factors Analysis and Dematel Utilizition in Knowledge Assessment (Case Study: Faculty Members of Universities)

Abstract

Over the past decade, surveing the knowledge assets from private organizations has been spread to government agencies such as universities and research centers. In fact, universities and higher education institutions must move towards knowledge assessment with a proper planning, and also they have Identify and measure existing knowledge till knowledge be used more efficient, creative and exploitable in universities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is identifing the knowledge measurement factors of universities' faculty members and determining the type of relationship between hidden variables, which is a fundamental part of research. The method of information collection is library resources and questionnaire, and also the way of data analysis is Exploratory Factor Analysis and Dematel. Statistical population was137 person of human resource and education management faculty members.. The research result showed 59 effective indicators of faculty members' knowledge measurement were grouped in 5 factors or hidden variable which was named: "management ability", "scientific ability (fundamental)", "scientific ability (practical)", "interaction and communities skills", specialized skills". The relationship between variables and conceptual model was obtained by Dematel technique.
